求职信分为推荐信和自荐信两种，它是书面表达的重要体裁之一，也是高考书面表达的热点内容。写求职信可按下列七个步骤进行。
第一步：介绍消息来源
介绍消息来源实际上是求职信的开篇交待句，它可使求职信显得自然、顺畅；而不介绍消息来源，会使收信人感到意外、突然，文章也缺乏过渡、照应，本文消息来源可作如下介绍：

2特征总结
从上面两封信可看出，求职信主要包括下列部分：
1）开篇：表明写信人所申请的职位以及从何处得知此职位空缺；
2）资格：所受何种教育，获得何种学位；
3）业绩：从事过何种工作，目前何处就职，工作能力如何，有哪些成绩等；
4）附件：说明附件的数量及内容；
5）结尾：提出面试请求，准确提供便捷的联系方式。
除此之外，看求职信的人还可能关注求职者的年龄、性格（主要是与人合作、沟通的能力）、工作习惯和奋斗目标，求职者可视情况提供。
写求职信主要使用一般现在时或现在进行时，但在介绍工作经历时要使用一般过去时或现在完成时。措辞要诚恳、有礼貌，对自己的能力要表现出适度的信心，不可过分谦虚或显得自负。
